Gillian Warner

on being with horses

As a lifelong horsewoman, Gillian Warner started Warner Equine in 2022 to realize her vision of expanding access to compassionate equine interactions that develop collaborative partnerships between horses and riders.

Gillian holds a B.S. in Community, Environment, and Development from Penn State University, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington, and is currently working towards her M.A. in Humane Education from Antioch University. Through her studies and approach to horsemanship, Gillian aims to create a respectful and loving community for all horses and riders to thrive in their individuality.

With the recognition of the importance of community, Gillian strives to be an engaged community member outside of the barn as well, and is curious about how horses can teach us how to show up as community members as well. She currently serves on the Centre County Agricultural Land Preservation Board, the Centre County Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Board, and the Community Development Block Grant Citizens' Advisory Committee for the State College Borough. Additionally, she always seeks out opportunities for the broader State College and the equestrian communities to interact in order to share the joy of working with horses!
